On the 29th of June the top management of Novak M company participated the Red dot gala, starting with award ceremony in Aalto Theater in Essen. The program began with the “Beats and noises” drumming troupe. Using traditional musical instruments and objects from everyday life the troupe created a true drumming spectacle and constantly new, exotic sound experiences. Continuing with a ballet by Ben Van Cauwenbergh on Freddie Mercury’s music, the ensemble of the Aalto Ballett  Teather Essen gave a passionate and inspiring performance presenting excerpts from the successful choreography accompanied by hits such as “We will rock you”, “Don’t stop me now”, and “Who wants to live forever”.

The host of the gala, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec treated special guests on stage to discuss current design trends and the outlook for the future. He awarded the “Best of the best” products and announced the design team that won the honorary title: ”Red dot: design team of the year”.

After the award ceremony the program continued with the Designers’ Night in Zeche Zollverein.  Beginning with the Winners' dinner prepared by Michelin star chef Frank Rosin and continuing with a party in the Red Dot Museum where a special exhibition of the awarded products took place.
